Frequently Asked Questions
What is somatic pleasure coaching?
I’m glad you asked! I support women in connecting more deeply with their bodies, uncovering and processing shame, and completing stress cycles so that stuck and stagnant emotions can dissipate. This frees up energy (think of it like closing tabs on your computer) and expands your capacity to receive pleasure, experience intimacy, and express your authentic self.
I blend ancient Taoist and Tantric practices to support your body in healing from the bottom up, while also using tools to support change from the top down. When you feel safe in your body and love and accept yourself, it becomes easier to show up to life as your whole self.
What if I’ve never done somatic work before?
That is totally fine! We will start very gently and slowly, checking in with your body and going at your own pace. Sometimes people have already experienced elements of somatic work—such as body scanning, breathwork, nervous system regulation, and sounding—without realizing it was called somatic work.
Somatic work is beneficial as it helps to unwind chronic stress and anxiety. It increases your body awareness and connection, and it helps you process and release deep stuck emotions, giving you back more energy and making your day-to-day life easier.
We won’t do anything you do not feel comfortable with.
How is somatic coaching different from therapy or counselling?
The somatic coaching I offer is different from talk therapy or counselling because I use a desire-based coaching approach focused on the future. This means we don’t dig into the past; instead, we focus on who you are now, what you truly desire, and what you want to create and welcome into your life. Based on what we discover, we then explore the body to identify what may be blocking you from achieving your goals, and I guide you through exercises to help release those blocks so you can move forward with confidence.
What if I feel shy or uncomfortable talking about love, sex and relationships?
That is totally okay. I will meet you where you’re at, and we can talk about what you feel comfortable with. I understand what it’s like to come from a religious or cultural background that didn’t support, celebrate, or talk about pleasure or sexuality. I also understand what it’s like to feel like you don’t belong anywhere, so you make yourself small—like you have no needs and don’t want to ask for too much or be a burden.
I know what it’s like to fake it, to pretend you’re enjoying an experience but just want to get it over with. And I’m here to tell you that there is so much more. You don’t have to come from a place of duty—you can come from a place of desire.
All our sessions are completely confidential, ensuring privacy and a safe space for personal exploration and growth.
Is there any nudity involved? Will I be naked on camera?
There is no nudity involved, and we move at your own pace and comfort level. I like to assign “homeplay” exercises that you can do in the comfort of your own home. If you are open to self-connection and self-touch, you can turn off your camera, and I will guide you through the experience so you can get a sense of what it feels like to explore your body in a new way.
Our bodies are wired for pleasure, so taking time to connect with your body, develop a mind-body connection, and experience pleasure can be a powerful way to support nervous system healing. My deepest wish is to empower you to explore and connect with your body in a new way. You decide what you feel comfortable with.
